Was there one person in your life who really inspired you to work in science?
There wasn’t one person in Technology that made me want to work in this field. I have had exposure to different technology over the years and love keeping up with the advancements.
What do you like most about working at MI?
I like being able to volunteer my time to the MI Charitable Foundation, the philanthropy arm of our company. I am also a chair of one of our foundation events, the Summer Concert. It’s so great that our company encourages team members to get involved to raise money for charity.
Plus, it’s been great that I could use MI education assistance program to help cover some of my college expenses.
What advice do you have for girls and young women who are thinking of a career in science?
Keep up with all the constant changes in technology by attending webinars or classes. Build relationships and network with others in technology by joining a club or young professionals’ group in your area or online.
If you weren’t working in science, what do you think you’d be doing?
I don’t see myself working in any other field. Technology is constantly changing and will always hold my interest. This is where I plan to stay.
