What are your career aspirations?
To find an exciting and challenging position which builds on my skills and knowledge gained from my university studies.
Why did you decide to apply for an internship with MI?
The more I read about MI and saw how close-knit the company was, I began to fall in love.
Who did you work with?
I worked alongside director of engineering, Andy Welker, engineering services manager, Brent Sitlinger, and design engineer Brandon Snyder. It was really cool - we got to have lunch with them, go to their homes, meet their families. They were really down to earth and so helpful.
What advice do you have for future interns?
You shouldn’t expect, and you’re not expected, to know everything. Ask questions, and learn how to prioritize your time.
What did you enjoy most?
Learning to use a new program called SolidWorks Composer to make new instruction manuals for customers and factory assemblies. This program will be more interactive for people to use, so they can choose their own pace. When I was done reading the installation documents and got to finally learn to install a window - that was cool. And I got to shoot the cannon.
