What are your career aspirations?
I want to work in a challenging environment that doesn’t feel like a job; I want it to be more like a hobby.

Why did you decide to apply for an internship with MI?
I’m from the area, and MI plays a big role in our local communities.

Who did you work with?
I worked in the engineering department, mostly with the other engineering interns and my mentor, Andy Welker.

What was your relationship like with your mentors?
I really like my mentors. They are pretty relatable and it’s not a high stress environment. It’s more easy going.

What was the most valuable thing you learned?
How to be effective in a real-life working environment. The projects I was given with the engineering department applied my education and knowledge while helping me understand how it can be effectively used in day-to-day situations.

What surprised you?
I was impressed with the willingness and open-minded approach to company growth.

What did you enjoy most?
The thing I enjoyed most in my time at MI was the interesting and challenging projects I was given to work on.
