MI Windows and Doors’ 1615/1617 sliding glass door
recently achieved a DP-50 rating, further expanding MI’s line of windows and doors intended to withstand extreme weather conditions. This high-performance door is available in two- and three-panel configurations in sizes up to 138-15/16’’ wide and 95-1/2" tall. The DP-50 option can be ordered effective April 2.
Available in both setup (1615) and knockdown (1617) configurations, this sliding glass door achieves the enhanced DP ratings by adding a substantial aluminum interlock to the left and right stiles of the door panels. The tempered glass IGU’s will be silicone glazed but will not feature laminated glass.
With a DP-50 rating, our 1615/1617 door should become more attractive to builders in coastal regions, where hurricane-force winds can be a threat and where larger, more expansive views are preferred.
