HARRISBURG, Pa. – The MITER FoundationTM will once again recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October by making a series of financial donations totaling more than $80,000.
To begin, the MITER Foundation will present a $40,000 check to both the National Breast Cancer Foundation and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This is the fifth year in a row the Foundation has partnered with these charities.
“We treasure our partnerships with these two excellent foundations,” MITER Foundation Specialist Gwen Mallon says. “They’ve both done so much in the battle against breast cancer, and we’re proud to join them in that fight.”
In addition, continuing a tradition begun in 2018, MITER Brands will raise awareness through their window brands MI Windows and Doors and Milgard Windows and Doors by placing pink National Fenestration Rating Council labels on all its windows and doors manufactured in October.
At the individual level, MITER Brands team members and customers are encouraged to donate through the MITER Foundation’s fundraising page. Those proceeds will be divided evenly between the National Breast Cancer Foundation and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
The MITER Foundation will also raise funds for local organizations fighting breast cancer through its outreach committees located across the country, which are selling merchandise to raise awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
