Selinsgrove, PA

Bloomsburg University

Masters, 2019

What are your career aspirations?
After I graduate, I would like to go into either private or public accounting. After several years in the field, I hope to open my own practice or business.

Why did you decide to apply for an internship with MI?
I decided to apply with MI because I knew it was a great
company that cares a lot about its customers and its team members. I thought it would be a great opportunity to gain
experience and develop my professional and personal skills. Also, it is close to my home, so it is an easy commute to and from work.

Who did you work with?
My mentor was Jason Kieffer, the corporate controller, and my sponsor was Sheila Naylor, the accounting manager.
What is the most valuable thing you learned?
Just to be a good employee a good neighbor. Always be willing to help and ... strive to always get better and want to succeed.

What did you enjoy most?
Everyone was very welcoming and friendly, so I liked getting to know everyone in my department. I learned a lot about the financial aspect of MI, including financial reporting,
purchases, daily cash reporting, invoice processing, and
departmental reporting.
