The MI Charitable Foundation
Giving back is part of our culture.
It started with small gestures and quiet favors from one person to another, and grassroots giving efforts that helped support fellow team members in times of need. The care and concern for others unselfishly displayed by our team pushed us to the realization
that we could do more. In 2015, the MI Charitable Foundation was born, and with it a renewed sense of purpose and compassion within our company. At our four fabrication facilities, our extrusion facilities, and our operational support center, committees
work together to plan, fundraise, and give back to our local communities. From standard sub sales, to Taco Tuesdays, to in-house raffles and toy drives, our team goes above and beyond to ensure we’re making an impact on the lives of the people
who live and work in our communities. The best part? The Foundation is driven by the team. While our leaders are fully engaged and supportive of the Foundation’s efforts, the action comes from the production teams and our support staff
– the people who have their fingers on the pulse of their communities and are engrained in the everyday issues that effect local families and organizations. Our committees are empowered to plan and engage in fundraising and volunteer events
that they are passionate about, and the result has been rapid growth (and rapid giving) that continues to humble and inspire us.
In addition to local outreach, we’ve partnered with several national organizations to support three noteworthy
causes: veteran’s affairs, child wellbeing, and cancer at large with a particular focus on pediatric cancer. The organizations we support at a national level focus their primary efforts in at least one of these three categories.
