A double-hung vinyl window has two operational, or moving, sashes. This video shows you how to remove and replace both window sashes on an MI double-hung window from our Eastern region. It also describes how to reposition a coil balance while both sashes are removed. The balance is the part of a hung window that counter-balances the weight of the sashes when you open and close the window.
