(FLOWER MOUND, TX) – In order to better serve its replacement window customers, MI Windows and Doors will begin manufacturing the 1650 double-hung window at its Flower Mound, TX facility in June 2016. This addition to MI’s newest manufacturing facility will enable them to offer their most popular replacement window to more customers and deliver them in a more timely manner.

Previously produced only in MI’s Hegins, PA manufacturing facility, the 1650 double-hung is a vinyl replacement window that offers superior energy efficiency and dependability. The 1650 is able to obtain a standard U-value of 0.27 without the need for added enhancements, which meets ENERGY STAR® requirements for the northern zone. With a simple upgrade to HP Low-E glass, the 1650 will also meet ENERGY STAR requirements for the southern region.

“We are excited about our ability to offer one of our most popular renovation and replacement products to a wider audience,” said MI’s Product Manager Josh Williard. “We look forward to continuing our growth in the replacement window market, and being able to provide our customers with products they can consistently rely on.”
